For subcontractors

Submittal software for subcontractors

Your submittals gate your fabrication, your deliveries, and your schedule — and they age on someone else’s desk. Planroom’s submittal management tracks every package across every job and every GC, with the aging record that protects your lead times when review drags.

The sub problem

Your schedule, held hostage on someone else’s desk

⛓️

Fabrication hostage

You can’t order the steel, release the mix, or book the shop until the stamp comes back. Every day it sits in review is a day off your lead time — and your lead time is your schedule.

🕳️

The review black hole

Submitted three weeks ago. GC? Architect? Nobody says, and from your side it’s invisible — until the schedule slips and somehow it’s your slip.

🌀

Resubmittal churn

Rev 1 comments, Rev 2 response, a stamp somewhere in an email chain — and your detailer working from the wrong markup. Version confusion on submittals gets fabricated into steel.

🎪

Five GCs, five systems

One GC uses a portal, one uses email, one uses a login you’ve forgotten. Your packages live in their systems — and you have no record of your own.

Features

Your packages, your record, every job

🗂️

One register, all jobs

Every submittal across every project and every GC in one view — what’s out, where it sits, what’s aging. Monday morning in one screen.

⏱️

Aging from your submission date

Days-in-review counted from the moment you submitted — the record that turns “the review took five weeks” from a complaint into documentation.

📅

Lead-time deadlines

Every package carries its needed-by date, tied to fabrication and delivery. The rebar package that must clear by Jul 8 gets flagged while there’s still time to push.

🔄

Revision threads

Rev 1’s comments, Rev 2’s response, the returned stamp — one thread per submittal, so the detailer never works from a superseded markup.

📤

Clean, spec-referenced packages

Organized by spec section with everything the reviewer needs — because packages that answer questions clear review the first time.

🛡️

A record that’s yours

Independent of any GC’s portal — your submissions, dates, and stamps, exportable. When review delay becomes a schedule fight, you’re not asking the GC for the evidence.

Questions

Good to know

Does my GC need to be on Planroom?

No — your packages export clean and submit however each GC wants them. The point is that your register, your dates, and your stamps live in your system, whatever portal the GC runs.

How does this protect my lead times?

Two ways: prevention — aging flagged against fabrication dates while there’s still time to push — and protection: a time-stamped review timeline, so if a five-week review costs the schedule, the record shows exactly whose five weeks it was. (How delay entitlement runs is contractual — yours governs.)

What does “approved as noted” mean for my shop?

Proceed incorporating the reviewer’s notes without resubmitting — different from “revise and resubmit,” which requires a corrected package first. Planroom keeps the stamp and markups on the thread so the shop builds from the noted set, not a stale one.

Can I run submittals for multiple GCs at once?

Yes — that’s the design. Every job, every GC, one register, with each project’s packages kept to its own record.

How much does it cost?

$149 a month for the entire platform — every job, whole crew, no per-seat fees, no contract.
